The Ferguson riots: what they have accomplished

It's the same old page out of the same old play book: black Americans burn down their own town over some grievance (fill in the blank here), and think that their criminal actions will change America for the better.

And things don't change for the better.  We've seen it again and again, same ol' same ol'.  Watts and Detroit in the 1960's.  Los Angeles after the Rodney King beating.  Blacks burning down their own businesses, and blaming whites for everything that is wrong with their lives.

What are the results of this latest riot in Ferguson, MO?  Is the criminal justice system now going to look the other way from black crime?  Can blacks now steal and mug their way into the mainstream of American society without consequences?

The results of this riot in the short term are crystal clear: many black-owned businesses in Ferguson are gone, burned to the ground.  Hundreds of families are now without a source of income.  And the millions of white viewers around the country who watched these riots on TV are horrified that things could get like this in their country.

The results in the long term are the same as they have always been: white flight.  Whites fearing black violence move their families away from predominantly black and urban areas, leaving the black community to fend for itself.  The black community left behind is then hard pressed to make up for the lost business revenue, lost tax revenue and lost opportunities that have fled along with the fearful white Americans that have moved their families to safer grounds in the suburbs.

The results are exactly opposite of what the black activists who are calling for 'no justice, no peace': a viscous cycle of violence that plunge the black community into further chaos and despair.

I have no advice for the black community that it already doesn't know: their leaders are leading them down the path to ruin.  And things are not going to change for the better any time soon.

The important thing is that the black "leaders" are getting rich off their followers, and that's all that matters to them.

Just commenting to let you know I read your post and agree.
I'm tired of getting upset and angry over this crap.

Gorges: yup. These black leaders prey on the ignorance and anger of their flock. And fan the flames whenever possible.

It's just plain criminal how they are left alone to incite black populations for generations without any accountability for results.

The results of the current crop of black leaders dating back 60 years until the current day are rampant black unemployment, sky rocketing black illegitimacy, unchecked black crime and wide spread black dependency.

These leaders must be so proud....

Ed: I'll be sure to tell Al Sharpton to knock it off on your behalf.

He's a reasonable man.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Fredd!

"he's a reasonable man" made me snicker.

Happy Thanksgiving, Fredd, I hope you're having a wonderful day.

This is all they know. Violence. Therefore any time it is time for them to take action, they only have a couple plays in their play book. Violence and theft.

Fredd said...

Kid: yes, those two plays are all they got.

There's no reasoning with people who have this kind of hate in their hearts.

Fredd - these so called leaders are preaching to the choir. They are telling these stupid, ignorant people what they want to hear. They appeal to the baser passions because they know the ensuing violence will just get them more publicity, more exposure. And the crowd gets the loot.

Only in America, Sig, only in America. Land of the free, home of the brave, where a revolutionary can stand up on a stump with a bullhorn and incite mobs to riot, get a fat paycheck for it, and lots of TV face time.

Anywhere else, and this kind of 'leader' would be languishing in a gulag - or worse. Much worse.

And when the burning and looting has ended, the ghetto people (most of whom stayed home) have nowhere to shop because the good businesses don't come back.

The corner liquor stores remain because their profit is so vast and they play to the pain of the ghetto.

I was in LA after Rodney King. I've also been in places outside the US when real riots started. These poor excuses for humans in Ferguson are poor imitations of rioters, thinking that looting and burning have something to do with rage.

Both, however, are senseless and only highlight the ignorance of the uneducated.

Joe: yes, sad beyond words.

And there is only one thing reasonable people can do in reaction to this situation: remove themselves as far away from the conflict as possible. White flight, segregation, and fear of all things urban.

People with means use those means to remedy any proximity to harm. Those without means are left to endure whatever harm remains in their current environment.

Black leaders actually encourage this: it concentrates their flock and makes it easier to incite them to support their nefarious aims.
