Of course it's not ransom, you idiots. It's, uh, er,...well, it's not ransom. Next question, please....
My first knee jerk caption to my cartoon above would be something to the effect:
Obama: 'Where do you want the ransom, boss?'
Khamenei: 'You evil infidel, just put it over there with the rest.'
Or perhaps a better one:
Obama: 'Are we friends now?'
Khamenei: 'No. Death to America. Now get out.'

Fredd, That's why it was a thought balloon.
I agree, Kid. It's perfectly OK in the koran for the faithful to lie like dogs to the infidel if they get a leg up in the 1000 year old struggle. And we tend to believe what people tell us, when we know they lie like rugs.
Much like Hillary.
You're an excellent artist!
But the theme makes me want to kidnap somebody, keep them as a hostage and wait for the big pay-off from Barack.
Barack said that if it came down to it, he would stand with Islam and his Muslim brothers. I'm sure that this good faith payment of $400 million, delivered in cash, in the middle of the night, was simply part of him showing that love and concern. The fact that hostages were released immediately is only your wicked mind conjuring up some sort of quid-pro-quo.
PS - I especially liked that the US delivered cash in US dollars, British Pounds, Euros and Swiss Francs. How considerate. The Kuds Force had one heck of a party after that!
LL: what, no caption suggestion? And yes, I have a flair for art, always have, thanks for noticing. But my artistic talents went undeveloped as a kid when my dad pushed me towards the left brain ways. Most bloggers are left brain folk, who use words and logic better than most. As a right brain guy, I never really lost my artsy ways but can still hold my own against left brainers; my dad flat out insisted that artists didn't make squat and were constantly unemployed, so get back into that math class, Fredd, and put down that violin. Art is for losers.
That, and when I took my violin case to football practice in 7th grade after a lesson, that was the end of that.
What a helpful infographic. Might have to repost...
I am not good at comments, but I do like the cartoon and post.
Wow, your really put'n the heat to Michael Ramirez's ransom cartoon, Fredd. Actually yours is not bad. I have no captions that are fit to print
Brig: Ramirez stole my idea? I'll have my people get in touch with his people, and we'll get to the bottom of this.
Brig: go ahead and submit your unprintable suggestion. As you may have noticed, I have the capability to clean it up prior to publishing your caption, but will have to submit it under my name, since the blogspot.com editor won't allow actual editing. Still, I can credit you with the uncut version.
Fredd, Thanks, but I will decline your spurious invitation...
I can't come up with any non-profane captions, either. But great cartoon!
