Rahm Emanuel 'bitch slapped' by Chick-fil-A supporters

Rahm Emanuel is certainly no light weight when it comes to politics.  He was instrumental in recruiting 'Blue Dog Democrats' to run against RINO republicans in 2006, and was an 800 pound gorilla in helping the Democrats gain majorities in the Senate and the House in 2006 ('a thumpin', said Dubya at the time).

Yes, that was the Rahm Emanuel in 2006.  The apex of his political career.

But fast forward to 2012.  He wins (virtually uncontested) Bill Daley Jr's Chicago Mayor seat in 2011, and since that point he has started his descent into the standard Democrat abyss.  Tax and spend, tax and spend, demagogue his enemies and keep the uninformed and clueless electorate bamboozled.

Sure, it works like a charm in every blue city and state, but at times there are limits as to how far a Marxist, Stalinist and totalitarian Democrat can lean before things come back to bite them in the butt.

Witness Mayor Emanuel's statement a few days ago that President and COO of the fast food franchise (and profound Christian) Dan Cathy's views 'are not those consistent with Chicago values,' and that he will oppose expansion by this franchise into his city.

I am guessing that he is referring to Al Capone values, to Thug Crip and Blood Gang values, to Dead People Voting values, to Two of the Last Three Governors in the Big House Currently Values, to General Corruption Values, and to Murder City USA Values.  Yeah, those values.  Heaven fordid we have any connection with Christian values (shudder...).

Man, oh man.  How could this otherwise 800 pound gorilla in political circles step in it so badly?  Simple.  These guys are so convinced that their profoundly Marxist and atheistic views are held by the majority of people nationwide, that they forget that they simply represent a significant minority of liberal takers, atheists and slackers that vote them into office in their protected little confines, and are truly clueless (or as Rahm himself would say, 'effing retards') as to how America as a whole views the moral opinions of a witnessing Christian such as Dan Cathy as to the general unpopularity of gay marriage.

Gay marriage initiates have failed in every state where they have appeared on the ballot, most recently in North Carolina.  But Rahm, tin ear and all, thinks that atheism and Marxism reign supreme in the US, when in fact they most demonstrably do not.

The 'Chick-fil-A' Revolution yesterday proved this point with a vengeance.  Rahm and the boys have yet to utter a word after the nation saw mobs outside the doors of every single Chick-fil-A franchise across America showed their support of views completely opposite that of Rahm and his ilk.

It bodes ill for the Marxists, er, uh, I mean Democrats in  November, 2012, take that to the bank.

Joe Paterno joins an exclusive rogue's gallery....

Former Penn State football coach, the late Joe Paterno has now joined a rather exclusive club of those once mighty who have fallen to the depths of public hatred.

Nobody will remember Joe Paterno as the coach who won more Divison I college football games than anyone else in the history of the sport.  Nobody will ever remember that his teams had some of the highest graduation rates among the sport.  Those spotless credentials will never, ever be brought up again in the same sentence with the hated Joe Paterno.

He will only be remembered for his shameful protection of a pedophile on his staff, overlooking the safety of children in his efforts to keep his legacy and that of Penn State's clean.  Joe Paterno himself is now one of the most hated men in football history, perhaps trailing only OJ Simpson in that regard.

OJ himself is very similar to JoPa: nobody will ever remember his Heismann Trophy OJ Simpson won at USC.  Nobody will every remember his record breaking 2,000 yard rushing season as a running back for the Buffalo Bills.  None of that ever comes up when speaking of OJ.  He is only remembered for murdering two people in cold blood, and getting away with it.

Also included in this club is Richard Nixon.  Nixon was one of the most successful politicians in U.S. history.  Is Richard Nixon remembered for serving nearly two decades as one of the leading members of the Republican Party, two terms as Vice President of the United States, and two successful elections to the Presidency of the U. S.?  Nobody remembers any of that.  Nobody remembers Nixon opening the trade doors to China through 'ping pong diplomacy,' nope, that stuff has been buried forever when talking about Richard Nixon.

Nixon is only remembered for the Watergate cover up, and his fall from grace in 1974.

Joe Paterno has now joined that loathsome rogue's gallery of the once mighty who have fallen farther from grace than anybody else in our culture's memory.

And Joe Paterno deserves this scorn.  He was a monster.

Another city goes bankrupt...thanks to public sector unions

San Bernadino, California (or as some locals would say, San Berdoo) is on the verge of seeking protection under section 9 of the bankruptcy laws in California as a severe cash flow crunch almost halted payroll checks in the month of June.  City officials are on the brink of filing for bankruptcy because they knew that July's payroll would simply not be met owing to the crushing burden that public sector union benefits had on San Bernadino's financial situation.

This list of bankrupt cities is getting longer.  And there is no end in sight to municipal bankruptcy filings.  California leads the pack in these filings, since their public unions have been running amok for decades in their demands for opulent retirement packages for 52 year old employees, free health benefits and the like.  They now have sucked their communities completely dry.   Now, with benefit checks in doubt pending a court sorting out the mess that these unions have created, these young 52 year old union retirees are up in arms.

"We had a deal!!," they scream.  Yes, their public sector union thug leaders coerced unsustainable agreements over the years from hapless city politicians, who were successfully able to kick the can down the road for decades in sustaining these unsustainable agreements, but unfortunately for these angry retirees, the days of wine and roses are over.

Chicago, Illinois is speeding headlong into this same downward spiral, and an angry 52 year old retired paramedic shouted these very sentiments to a Chicago talk radio show the other day, screaming that he planned his whole life around these agreements, and if somebody wants to change things now, they will have to deal with him face to face.

Face to face.  With a screaming retiree demanding money.  And that is the only way that these young 52 year old retirees are going to keep the checks rolling: ultimately demanding payment while screaming at anyone who has ('their') money from the barrel of a gun.  They seem to understand that when the municipality stops sending checks because there is no more money, that somebody has to be forced to pay, whether they want to or not.  And that would be the funders of the municipality: us.  You and me.

In the long run, if these public sector employee unions are not reigned in from their terrorism of our cities, towns and counties, we will be facing armed bands of union retirees demanding money from us.  And if we don't pony up, there will be consequences.

Which side of this issue are YOU?  The end of the road is in sight, and that can can no longer get kicked down the road.

Michelle Obama's 'food deserts' in Chicago: bunk

Food deserts.  What?  This bogus phrase concocted by Michelle Obama brings to mind the image of the ragged, tattered wretch crawling across the desert in search of water, croaking ‘water…..water…..’

The ‘food desert’ Michelle Obama cites is in her old stomping grounds of South Chicago.  Do we see the scrawny, ravenous skeletal wraiths crawling down Michelle’s neighborhood, crying with feeble wails 'broccoli,....I need broccoli...', lest they simply dry up and perish?  On the contrary, in Michelle’s neck of the woods (Chicago), we mostly see morbidly obese folks sitting on their porches, stuffing their faces with Cheetos (purchased with food stamps, duh) and washing entire bags of the stuff down with Orange Crush, their folding chairs nearly buckling as their occupants corpulent bellies hang down to the ground.

And these are the victims living in the middle of Michelle Obama’s ‘food deserts.’  Michelle Obama is concerned that for too many of these corpulent Democrat constituents, fresh fruits and veggies are simply not available within walking distance of her husband's pudgy voters (just a side note: her husband's waddling constituents are able to walk perhaps half a block before the exertion forces them to seek the first available folding chair, bag of Doritos and six pack of Mountain Dew).

The truth of the matter (of which concerns Michelle Obama not one bit) is that fresh fruit and veggies are indeed available within bus distance of every Obama voter in Chicago, since Chicago Obama voters don’t feel the need to have cars, or walk very far for their Twinkies.  What Michelle fails to notice is that most reputable vendors of fresh fruits and veggies have concerns about placing one of their stores in her constituent’s neighborhoods, where the likelihood of them getting robbed and beaten on a weekly basis is very high.

The desert that Michelle refers to is not a ‘food desert.’  It is a morality desert.  It is a decency desert.  It is a capitalism desert.  Lately the murder rate in these neighborhoods exceeds the death tolls seen in an active Afghanistan war zone.  It is more likely you will die in South Chicago if you are out and about on the streets than if you are on patrol in Kabul.

Since Obama’s beloved Democrat Party with it's socialist liberal policies has in exchange for votes put itself in the place of providing food and shelter for most of the primarily black inhabitants of South Chicago instead of a loving husband and father, the black family has deteriorated into chaos.  Illegitimate births are the norm.  Kids without fathers are seeking guidance from gangs rather than fathers.  And the murder rate is out of control, and Michelle wrings her hands about why this is so.

This is the 'responsibility desert' that Michelle laments.  And it is a desert of her, her hubby and their ilk’s own making.

Big Oil cabal controls oil prices? Complete bunk...

I am sincerely convinced that, contrary to Bill O'Reilly's BIG OIL CONSPIRACY stuff he trots out every time the price of gas gets high, oil prices are absolutely and totally market driven.

And NO: Obama is not twisting OPEC arms and bribing the Saudis to lower oil prices. He doesn't have that kind of mojo, although he thinks he does.

China and India's huge unsustainable growth rates have cooled, and their demand for oil has been curbed. Ditto here in the US, as Obama has ensured that lots of Americans have been fired, so unemployed folk have less money to put in their gas tanks, and demand is down here as well.

Supply and demand: there's a glut of oil available in the world (and this will be the case for the next 300 years or more), but fewer drivers demanding the stuff.

Duh. Prices come down, it's inarguable.

And Bill O'Reilly: how come you are screaming about speculators and oil cartels setting prices when oil is high, but when oil comes down, we only hear crickets chirping from you?

Do you really think that if these guys were able to set prices arbitrarily, that they would get together and decide to lower prices and forego billions and billions in profits, what, just for PR purposes?  What would a fly on the wall of Big Oil cabal hear during their discussions of how to LOWER the price of oil, since they have all of this power to control prices:

Sheik Abdullah: ' The Americans, especially this O'Reilly guy, are screaming bloody murder about us gouging them on the price of oil.  We need to lower the prices, now that everyone's angry.

Prince Omar: ' Yes, I agree.  We all need to lower prices per barrel of oil from $107 to $80 per barrel, and in this way, they world will love us.  In doing so, we will only forego $1 TRILLION dollars in revenue, but it's worth it to us to be seen as the good guys.

Prince Abdullah: 'I agree also, let's give the consumers their money back.  We need to improve our tarnished image, and a TRILLION dollars is certainly a fair price to achieve the love we need.'

Yeah, right.  This is not the way things work in the world.  Not a chance, Bill. If these guys could do it, oil prices would NEVER come down, not ever. But they do come down due to market forces, and there goes your conspiracy theory down the tubes.

How else would you explain away this fall in prices, if you say that speculators and oil cartels have everything under their control?

You can't, Bill O'Reilly.  Market forces determine this globally available commodity, and nothing more.  You are profoundly wrong about your Big Oil conspiracy, and it's demonstrable.

Eric Holder will sink Obama, one way or another...

Eric Holder, love him or hate him, is one of the most controversial attorneys general in the history of the United States of America.  As the top law enforcement figure in the country, he has yet to uphold or enforce the law in any way, shape or form.

The White House leak scandal?  No problem for these guys, Holder will certainly get to the bottom of the leaks, and then find nothing there regardless of what he finds.  See how things work under Eric Holder?  The Fast and Furious scandal will not sink this guy, even though this scandal is far and away much worse than Nixon's Watergate scandal ever came to, since nobody died during Watergate.  Holder will simply deny, deny and deny some more.  Then he will stonewall, stonewall and stonewall some more.  And since Eric Holder serves at the pleasure of the president,  no manner of congressional sanction will matter in his keeping the top justice job.  Only Obama can fire the guy, and Obama will simply not do it, under any circumstances since the two are as thick as thieves.

Now Holder is urging black pastors to preach to their congregations, warning them that there are nebulous (conservative) forces hard at work nefariously trying to suppress the black vote, and to keep their heads down.  Of course, there's not a single bit of evidence that this is true, other than the New Black Panthers threatening a voting place in Philadelphia some years ago, but since the voters that these thugs threatened were white, no action was deemed necessary by this racist AG.

Assuming Obama stands by this guy through the elections, I would posit that Mr. Holder will give his best college try at rigging the results in Obama's favor, even though he will face landslide opposition by then.  I highly suspect their evil efforts will not be successful but Obama and Holder will claim victory in November, 2012 anyway regardless of the tally, forcing a constitutional crisis.  This is probably the only way Obama can keep his job, but the potential for an armed intervention in doing so is great.

The armed forces will possibly be mobilized to quell the civil outburst that this skulduggery on Holder's and Obama's part will incite, and it might come down to seeing which side the military leaders of the Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy commit their allegiance to: Mitt Romney's or Barack Obama's.  And since a recent poll indicates that Romney holds a 28 point lead over Obama among active duty military members, I don't see another Obama term anywhere in the pipeline, but rather perhaps an arrest warrant for him and his AG would be forthcoming, and then things start getting testy....

Won't that be an interesting November?

Craven public union workers demand even MORE...

Is there no end to the brazen, shameless behavior on the part of our national public employee unions?  Apparently not.  The Chicago Public Schools (worst performance in the nation, right in there with Washington DC and Atlanta public school systems) public union goon Karen Lewis is now demanding a 30% raise in public union teacher salaries over two years.  A September strike is now being planned.  (I say let them go on strike, and fire the whole stinking crappy lot of them, and hire non-union teachers to take their place.  We would be way better off without these worthless pieces of garbage teaching our kids).

Chicago schools are unarguably the worst performing schools in the nation, and arguably the crappiest performing education organization in the entire WORLD, and we all see this brazen, obnoxious pig of a 'public servant' union thug boss DEMANDING a 30% raise for teachers over 2 years.

Is there no end to the drunken power of our public unions?

These bloated, incompetent teachers unions, because they suck so badly at their jobs, are virtually insuring that Chicago kids will never ever be qualified to enter the work force.  These kids can barely (if at all) read their diplomas.  The typical valedictorian at a Chicago Public School, while receiving straight A's their entire public school career, can't even score a passing grade on the SAT's, and no decent college or university will touch these 'valedictorians' with a ten foot pole.

And don't get me started on the fire fighters on the public payroll.  A typical fire house is overstaffed and over paid by 300%, and they seem to be immune from any and all downturns in the economy.  When a fire breaks out somewhere, a zillion firefighters show up, destroy the house with their axes, fire picks, and hoses and woeful disregard the integrity of the property that had the fire and subsequently boast and crow about how they 'saved' life and property.  We could do with an across the country cut of 300% of fire department assets, and get by with volunteer fire fighters.  These guys are just as bad (almost) as our public union teachers.  Not quite but just about.

When I went to public elementary school, my 200 student elementary school staff had a principal, an assistant principal, a few secretaries (they call them administrators now), 10 teachers for 10 classes of 20 kids each, and a couple of janitors.  That's it.  Sixteen people on the public payroll to educate 200 kids.

Now my daughter's elementary school has multiple times this number of teachers: a principal, a vice principal, an assistant principal, several counselors, an entire nursing staff, an administrative staff of around 10, a cafeteria staff of another 10, scores of teachers, a music teacher, an art teacher, a physical education teacher, a Spanish teacher and a janitorial staff of ten, and another 10 people on the payroll that I don't even know about.  Maybe 60 or 70 elementary school staff, or more.  To do the same job that 16 people did in 1965, with the exception that we kids used to brown bag our lunches.

You cannot argue that fire fighters and school teachers unions are simply feather bedding their roles all on the pubic dime, but are not adding to the quality of our community's education or protection.

They are just craven, greedy slobs who are parasites of the public trough.  A pox on them all.
