'Moderate Muslims' and other ficticious characters

The now somewhat dated joke goes like this: The Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, an al-Qaeda terrorist and a Moderate Muslim were all seated at a poker table, and were betting like dutch uncles on what turned out to be identical hands: Royal Flushes. The Easter Bunny had a Royal Flush in spades (Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten), the Tooth Fairy had the same hand, but in hearts, the al-Qaeda terrorist had a royal flush in clubs, and the Moderate Muslim had his royal flush in diamonds. Who raked in the huge pot? The al-Qaeda terrorist, of course. The other three are just fictional characters. Essentially, there is no such thing as a 'moderate Muslim.' Historically speaking, from a non-theologian's perspective, the story of Islam started with the prophet Mohammad receiving the verses of what became the Koran directly from Allah, beginning in 610 A.D. Within these verses, directly from Allah, are instructions for all obedient loyal followers to convert the rest of the world to Islam, and if conversion does not take place, then enslave or kill non-believers ('infidels'). Many Muslims today look the other way when this fact is presented to them. According to the Koran, these Muslims are not true believers, and are not adhering to the words of the Prophet and the wishes of Allah. Perhaps this is just a technicality, and many religious scholars would argue that the ancient verses were figurative, and not literal. Still, they are there in the Koran to this day for anyone to see. And these words are not ambiguous. Calling Islam a religion of peace is just not what Mohammad and Allah had in mind for Muslims. The cartoon above more accurately portrays the views of 'moderate Muslims:' they will watch as the fanatic beheads an infidel, but will rarely (if ever) condemn the fanatic for his actions. After all, this is specifically and literally called for in the Koran, the book by which ALL Muslims live, not just some Muslims. Imam Rauf, the spokeman for the proposed Ground Zero mosque, is reported to be just such a 'moderate Muslim.' When he speaks to Arab speaking listeners, his message is very different than that he tells his English speaking audience. Imam Rauf is not a 'moderate Muslim.' He is a Muslim, period. Accordingly, a 'moderate Muslim' belongs at that poker table every bit as much as the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny and Santa: there ain't no such thing.

Very well put, Fredd, and your cartoon is quite prophetic. That Iman is bad news, and practing that taquiiya lying thing he and obama love to do.

Did you read he also wrote obummer's "apology speech" when he went to the mid east last year?
This stinks to high heavens.

I wouldn't insult the Easter Bunny putting him in the same class as these creeps, but I get the point you were making.

Love the joke! There is truth in good humor.

In this information age, it's getting harder for double dealers to play that doublespeak game. Imam rouwlf has been making most of his remarks over there away from the cameras...

great cartoon. I'm not sure about Santa? I've seen more evidence of him, than moderate Muslims.

Bunni: you are right. My apologies to the Easter Bunny for lumping him in with these murdering butchers and supporters of other murdering butchers (Hamas, Hezzbolah, PLO, and on and on and on...)

Silver: the Koran approves lying to infidels, so many Muslims do this daily. They tell us they don't approve of their fanatical bretheren's butchery, but show up at every anti-American rally in full regalia.

Trestin: you are right as well. My 8 year old daughter continues to write to Santa, and she still gets goodies from him every Christmas. He indeed has more evidence to his existence than a moderate Muslim.

Good post Fredd. I really go nuts when I hear this called 'religion', let alone it shares the same God of Judaism and Christianity.

As you so aptly point out that if the 'infidel' does not convert, then enslavement or death ensues, what part of that decree does the God of Abraham agree with ? NONE.

This is a cult pure and simple. An all-powerful God, a deity, does not make mistakes as He is infallible.

This is not true of what islam purports to be god, no the lowly 'prophet' (and God said there would be false prophets) Mohammad changed the text of his work called the quaran to fit popular opinion of the time in which he wrote it. If it were the word of God not only could you not change it, you would NOT be allowed to do so.

Moderate or not and agree there is no such thing, but to act on a lie which is the entire text and basis for the cult is even more disturbing.

Satan is at play here.

Christoper:

Keeping within the context of this post, you and I both are 'calling a spade a spade:' Islam is something other than what we would call a religion that shares the God of Abraham. Islam wants no part of the God of Abraham; no loving God of Abraham would embrace virtually any part of the Koran.

A cult? I never thought of Islam as such, but it sure bears out the many moving parts...

I agree totally. I refer to a Muslim who doesn't want to tie bombs onto his wife and children and blow up his infidel scum neighbor as nominal.

Thought you would appreciate this if you haven't heard it, which you probably have since it was sent to me in one of those forwarded emails. Anyway, I liked it.

A friend of mine just started his own business.

He's making landmines that look like prayer rugs.

It's doing swell. He says prophets are going
through the roof!!

Fredd,

Islam may indeed want no part of the God of Abraham but this is what they claim they share in order to further their claim as a religion.

Scientology claims to be a religion also but in no way shape or form is it so, but rather a cult.

Scientologist's claims may not be the same as Islam's but a lie is a lie after all and dangerous to the human psyche let alone the possibility of death in islams case.

I maintain islam is a cult and it's god is actually the fallen angel by the name of the great deciever Ba‘al Zebûb.

Dan: har har! Prophets through the roof...

Sounds like a bang-up business.

ALL Muslims have no regard for the greatness of America, they loathe us.

The Koran encourages deception and lies in advancing their cause (a world wide caliphate under sharia). Accordingly, one cannot take the word of ANY Muslim, at any time for any reason.

They are ALL dangerous, and want a global caliphate to rule us all in the end.

Although I love the jokes (your's too Dan), not sure I can sign off that all of Islam is bad. And quite frankly, couldn't all religion be classified as cults?

What Makes:

I, too, struggled with throwing the whole of Islam under the bus, you know, looking like an intolerant jerk and all.

But theirs is the only, and I repeat, ONLY 'religion' that calls for killing and enslaving those who don't believe in their righteous 'religion.'

Strictly speaking, Islam is the only 'religion' that calls for killing and enslaving anyone for any reason. Judeo-Christians? Nope, no killing there, only turning the other cheek.

Budhists, Taoists, Hindis, Shikhs, and most other eastern religions? The worst they get is that they make the evil doers in this life suffer in the next life (kharma, etc). No killing in those, either.

Only Islam. By that reason alone, we should revoke their right to call themselves religious, as only thugs and miscreants follow some of the horrendous 'teachings' in the Koran.

What Makes:

PS: How many Muslims does it take to screw in a light bulb?

One could easily argue Islam is not a religion. The Koran is a blueprint for conquest, pedophilia and sadism.

That could only be because they don't know the enemy.
