'The Heckler's Veto:' favorite tool in the liberal toolbox

We are all at this point in time thoroughly familiar with the left's favorite tactic to shut everybody up who does not agree with them or think like they do: scream, yell, disrupt, fight, throw pies and now punches, and violently suppress dissent.

The Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves as they watch what is happening to their great experiment in human history.  Freedom of speech, the very 1st Amendment in the Bill of Rights, is under full frontal assault by leftists, communists, Marxists, socialists and all manner of pinkos in the American landscape today.

It is clear that their socialist philosophy simply can't stand up to rational debate.  They lose when they even try to articulate the nonsense and Utopian fantasy of their socialist ideas.  Ideas which have failed utterly in every society that has mistakenly implemented them, and yet the pinko will persist.  They think that if we just do it with different leaders this time, it will create a Heaven on Earth.

Nobody on the left can explain how it is possible that taking resources from one group and giving them to another via the ham fisted power of government can create a thriving, creative and beneficial society: not through debate, not through education and clearly not through failed implementation of hare brained liberal policies.

Liberalism just doesn't work at any level at all in human endeavors. The folk whose goodies are taken from them and given to others who have clearly not earned this forced largess will not simply acquiesce in perpetuity to this inequity: they will find ways around this social theft.  It has always been this way, and it will always be this way.  Humans don't like tyrants taking their stuff away without just compensation.  They just don't. It's an integral part of human nature. Duh.

But human nature has no place in the calculus of the left, no siree Bob.  We are now witnessing the latest method of ramming socialism down all of our throats: violence.  Throwing pies in the faces of conservatives, drowning out voices on the right, and now throwing punches at supporters of Donald Trump at his political rallies - this is now the tactic of choice on the left.

The so-called 'Heckler's Veto' where using any and all means to simply drown out any dissenting voice is now the tool-du-jour of American pinkos and leftists.

It appears to have worked in Chicago last Friday.  But will this always work going forward?  It is clearly not a constitutional method of forwarding one's philosophy.  Silencing the opposition's voice is not the American way of governance.

It is the way of things in tyrannical dictatorships and totalitarian regimes, but these brutish tactics have no place in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Do you remember the Tea Party rallies, and how the left despised them? I went to a number of them to add my voice to those of others engaged in peaceful protest. A reporter from NBC interviewed my daughter, who was with me, because she was young and asked her why she was there. She said, "I took time off work to be here because I wanted to make my voice heard. That government requires the consent of the governed and I disagree with the direction this country has taken, etc." Naturally, it ended up on the cutting room floor, but the point is that it's not only the left who can object.

The Tea Party (not the group who claimed to own it, but the people) represented discontent among the employed and the concerned. Those employed and concerned are voting for Trump and the power structure on both sides are very unhappy with those people.

The left is desperately trying to win over the fence sitters. I have a feeling that this could back fire for them. Remember how all but the radial left were turned off be the "Occupy" people.

LL: ever since Ronald Reagan's administration ended, I have felt abandoned by the GOP. The elder Bush was just a liberal in GOP clothing, and his clan all think like him. "Voodoo economics" is what he calls capitalism. Not good. And Bob Dole was no good, a Bush clone. And Dubya didn't fall far from the tree. And then came McCain (don't get me started on that 'maverick' SOB), then Romney, and now the current crop of establishment phonies. They all promise smaller government, but it never happens. We see spending explode, even with GOP majorities in the house and senate. Unbelievable how they can break their promises to us for handing them the gavels. We come through for them in the elections, hand them their gavels, and they grab them, think nothing of it and start compromising with the pinkos. Screw those guys!

If these establishment types (Cruz excepted, they hate him, too) better watch out if they plan on nullifying the will of the conservative voter and steal the nomination from Donald Trump. They will be wandering in the wilderness politically speaking for the rest of their days, it will be the death of the GOP as they know it.

And Soros pays for it.

Ed: I don't really know what we can do about Soros, other than let Father Time handle things for us. The guy is 85, after all.

I noticed "ham fisted" -- an oblique reference to Hillary?

But whatever, the Bolsheviks and their useful idiots seem to be working hard at swinging votes for the GOP frontrunner. Trump couldn't invent better PR, and if these people think that there's a national groundswell of support for their run amok antics, well, think again. Even I know that, and I spent most of my life in the U.K.

Fredd said...

Pastor: not a reference to Hillary, that would have been 'ham cankled.' There's a difference.

And even blokes from across the pond clearly see that the GOP establishment has a tin ear when it comes to listening to the groundswell against....THEM.

LSP said...

And what a tin ear it is.

As for "cankles", well, that's Hillz for 'ya. Please get her indicted.

I watched when Hillary was heckled at some private home event by a Black girl from Black Lives Matter...the kid gloves with which they handled her, cajoling her out of the private home, speaking softly to her while she was louder and louder....Man, the Political Correctness never ends. PICK THEM UP, THROW THEM OUT. They are crashing, they deserve it, but no...
SO, as usual in our new world of no shame, no retribution, no following through on threats for bad behavior, what did SHE care?
I agree with your whole piece, Fredd...well written..well thought out. Z

Honestly, I don't personally like Trump. He's an ass. but I must tell you, this I will tell you, the more they pound on the guy, the more I want to vote for him.

Now, one could wonder, Gee are the libtards so smart that they have the above reaction figured out and so they pound on him because they Want us to vote for Trump?
No, they're not that smart. No way no how. Therefore - Could Trump be 'our guy'?

I don't trust him as far as I could throw him but I actually don't trust Cruz much more, so let loose the dogs of war and let's make sure the hildebeast doesn't get elected and go from there.

Fredd said...

Z: yup, pick 'em up, throw 'em out. Unceremoniously. And I agree with The Donald: "I just wanna punch 'em in the face."

Who doesn't?

Ed Bonderenka said...

"I don't like Trump personally either, Kid. The guy's an ***hole. But he's OUR ***hole."
I doubt he's anyone's but his own.

Fredd said...

Ed: I know you are a Trump hater because he's not a 'pure' conservative: small government, Constitution-loving, pious Protestant-type, I get that. Lots of you guys out there, lots and lots.

Trump believes in about 60% of what conservatives believe, and the other 40% we hate, and he will get 100% of it done, or at least give it his best shot. I can live with that, rather than elect a 100% conservative type 'establishment' type, who can't get a damn thing done.

I'll take that 60%. And I will certainly bitch about the 40% that he screws up, but I am certainly no purist.

60% of a loaf is still a lot more bread than I've gotten in the last 30 years, Ed.

Socialism....
Well, 1st off libtardism is all about fantasy. Decide how things should be, then make a case for why they should be that way. Nevermind that their cases are not based on the factual. The biggest flaw in their socialist dream is that the "rich" will continue to work just as hard as they now for significantly less money. Gee, why did the Beatles and all the rest of them move to the USA again? Why are many of the rich moving out of France and the other socialist nightmare countries?

If the kids want socialism, they will get it eventually and probably soon, and it will be just what they deserve. I'm about 3-4 years form retirement so having a bernie sanders administration would probably would benefit me. I won't vote for it though. No, this evil, the kids must bring on themselves.

2nd off, Can the beast actually get elected ? Good God Y'all.

Fredd said...

Kid: that flaw is consistent in every program they ever inflict on us. They figure that we will just continue on behaving as we always had as if nothing happened after they insert a mechanism into the system that will siphon off our money.

That is just the dumbest assumption ever. And all liberals do it.

My favorite example of this is when Sen. Mark Hatfield (R-Or) was in a budget committee session, he asked the Democrat number crunchers to compute the following: if the top marginal tax rates were raised from their existing 45% at the time (now at 39.6%) to 100%, what would be the result?

And the dumb liberal number crunchers were all poking and punching the keys on their calculators, writing down numbers and dollar signs, furiously figuring out how much money would come in after such a raise in the marginal rates. They all came up with huge figures, when a simpleton could answer that one with no calculator at all: people are not dumb. Once they reach a point in the tax brackets at which all of their additional income is confiscated (100% tax rate, duh), they will stop making any more money. What's the point in working when all of your compensation is taken?

The answer is $0, you stupid liberal pinko dopes.

Kid said...

Fredd, The Laffer curve is so simple, even libtard pinko dopes should be able to get a grip on it. But their fantasy life will not be vanquished by anything.

Fredd,

Cruz is an insider. He is the back-up/Trojan horse of the Bush family and Wall Street. He ran as the anti-establishment candidate financed by the establishment, just in case their hand picked choices, JEB! and Marco, weren't able to seal the deal. He could be the "outsider". There is no one left who is more inside than Frito. He is owned by them.

Trump isn't a great choice, but he is better than anything else on the table.

My choice would have been a third party candidate winning as it would bust the uniparty trust's stranglehold on American Politics.

Fredd said...

Keith: nah, the Ted Cruz as the Establishment guy doesn't hold water. The Old Guard GOP hates that guy with a purple passion. Sorry, Keith. Can't buy your theory, at all. The hate is just too obvious from the Old Guard. No way would the Establishment give Ted Cruz one red cent. Not a penny.
