Trump derangement syndrome raging across the nation

I have been admonished not to mention Donald Trump's victory at an upcoming visit of mine owing to an attendee's wife being severely distraught over the election results.  "Please don't poke the beehive," hubby pleads.

I completely understand this request, and I have promised to not discuss politics under any circumstances.  It was a terribly long, nightmarish eight years that I felt extremely disheartened and feared for the future of the country.  Especially after Obama's re-election; good Lord, how could we have given this socialist ANOTHER FOUR YEARS to destroy what's left of the Founding Father's vision for America.

And my fears were not invalid.  Obamacare has so weakened our economy since no self respecting employer would ever consider hiring a full time worker, lest his bottom line get eaten away by these punitive taxes (yes, taxes, according to Chief Justice John Roberts).  Many previously full time workers have had their hours slashed so that employers can remain in business.

Yes, now the shoe is on the other foot, and the liberals across the country are fit to be tied.  There is great wailing and gnashing of teeth over the prospect that Donald Trump will overturn many of Obama's economy wrecking initiatives and his transfer of wealth schemes.  Barry promised to remake America, and now it appears that The Donald is un-making those remakings of Barry's.  Repealing and replacing Obamacare is a great start.

But the liberals will not take this lying down.  They will not go quietly into that good night.  Not on your life.  A communist leftist organization 'Grab Your Wallet' has called on Americans to boycott any business that has anything to do with Donald Trump or his company affiliations.  L.L. Bean co-owner and board member Linda Bean gave a few measly bucks of her own personal money to the Trump campaign, and now these slime balls are calling for a complete boycott of L.L. Bean.

I don't dismiss this boycott as frivolous.  In fact, I encourage conservatives to emulate this tactic: since they are boycotting conservative interests (and L.L. Bean is by no means conservative, they want to sell their popular 'Bean Boots' to both liberals and conservatives), conservatives should boycott liberal interests at every turn.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander: if you are an employer and you find out that one of your employees is liberal, fire them immediately.  If you know of a business that is owned by liberals who push their liberal agenda via their company, boycott them.  Ben & Jerry's ice cream comes to mind - and unless you are a sumo wrestler who needs this product to remain competitive, stay clear of it.

And don't stop there: if  a member of your family is liberal, give it your best shot to convert them to sanity.  If all efforts fail, and they still insist on voting Democratic, wearing Birkenstocks and eating Ben & Jerry's ice cream, shun them.  Don't go to their birthday parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs or even funerals.

Trump Derangement Syndrome is raging out of control.  Rather than just sitting back and watching it play out (to our detriment), we need to fight back: fight fire with fire.  Boycott Democrat/liberal interests where ever they are.

As you may expect, I remind people in Mexico who I meet to reflect back on predictions that I made of an astounding and resounding Trump victory. Everyone thought I'd lost my mind and that that anointed Bitch of Benghazi would surely win. Mexicans have spent their hard earned pesos having me fly down there and bloviate to them about this or that because of the Trump win. I'm monetizing Trump's historic victory by using the WWTD (What Would Trump Do) mantra as my guideline.

I do know progs. I even like a few of the poor, misguided souls. But I am not shy about the gospel of Make America Great Again.

And I don't patronize "progressive" establishments. I didn't like Macy's anyway, but when they stopped carrying Trump's ties in an effort to distance themselves from him, that was all she wrote for that company. I hear that they're doing poorly and are closing a lot of stores. Gee, that's sad.

I haven't eaten Ben and Jerry's ice cream for a gazillion years. Tyson chicken? I wouldn't bring it into my house even if they gave it to me. I check products for the halal symbol and won't buy it if it's present. Movies, music, and TV? Off the radar. Dropped Progressive Insurance (why I got it to begin with is beyond me having even been warned by my insurance person what they supported.) Starbucks. Ah, no. Besides, their over priced coffee stinks. I can get a much better cup of coffee at the grocery store.

Jim Sinegal, the founder of Costco, supports left wing politics, but he does so as a private citizen, while Costco employees are some of the most highly paid in the retail world. What an individual does is none of my concern. Disclaimer: I worked for Costco for about 9 years. Best employer, ever.

L.L. Bean? Proud to say that when I replaced my library tote (after about 40 years) I did so with an L.L. Bean tote.

LL: I have a whole closet full of Rush Limbaugh ties, you know, the gaudy ones. Too bad they aren't making any more of them. Macy's carried Trump ties, but they never measured up to Rush ties.

I have never purchased a single Macy's product in my life. Not that I was boycotting them, it's just that there were no Macy's around me. Now I am officially boycotting them. In other words, I'm not changing my behavior in the slightest, but will boast of my efforts regardless. See how this works? For me at least?

Adrienne: what's a library tote? You know, they have electronic books available now, but since I recall you are a dues paying Luddite, never mind.

I wholeheartedly agree
Boycott the whole freaking lot of Lefty owned organizations

The problem is, there are so MANY commies out there, it's hard to keep track of them all, but I've been TRYING to do what you say for several years. It still amazes me the number of supposedly "Christian" folks who continue to flock to Starbucks to buy grossly over-priced cups a' joe when the liberal, pro gay CEO has already told them he does NOT want their business. I suspect their Christianity is no deeper than the cup, and so it is with too many "conservatives," I think.

When we went to visit our first born, back in NC, he asked us not to discuss politics.
We brought him up right, we thought, to be more conservative; but he met and fell in love with a liberal in college.

So we didn't discuss politics -I caught myself before saying maybe the economy would pick up now - and we had a good visit.

Hope you all have a blessed weekend.

Gorges: I drink Starbucks coffee. Yes, I am a hypocrite. They should be boycotted, big time. But I'm weak. That, and a coffee-aholic.

My shame is great.

But I like their coffee. There. I've said it.

Fredd said...

LindaG: happens to us all. Everyone in my immediate family grew up with Republican values, and everyone except my dad turned into a liberal. Well, not everyone. I didn't. We had 7 family members. Of course, we lived in Oregon, where I think the water has something to do with all of this.

You just be as snotty as you want about my love of books - you know, the paper models, but when the power goes out don't come running to me begging to borrow something to read. Not going to happen. You're fancy phone won't work, either. So there!

I'll just remain a happy old fashioned Luddite. Off to read my book now.

Fredd, TDS is a very serious disease of the mind; it has to be fought with MAGA Light. Have you noticed how progleft posturing clowns shrivel and die under the white glare of MAGA Light? I have, and I like it.

Ben & Jerry's is rubbish although I used to like their "Cherry Garcia." I scorn it now and good point, if you have an unrepentant lib in the workforce, fire it. You'll be doing the company a favor.

Kid said...

Oh yes, Most definitely boycott libtard interests where ever they may be.

Fredd, McDonalds has good coffee.

I still think we are on track for the libtard vs heavily armed right civil war.

Adrienne: when the power goes out, we have a 7.5KW generator. Of course, if the power STAYS out, then you got me there; I'm screwed.

Then again, if the power STAYS out, EVERYBODY is screwed.

Fredd said...

Pastor: You commented "Have you noticed how progleft posturing clowns shrivel and die under the white glare of MAGA Light?" Kind of like pouring salt on a slug?

And I won't lie: Ben & Jerry's Heath Bar Crunch is pretty dang tasty, I'm here to testify.

Fredd said...

Kid: yes, Micky D's has great coffee lately. This wasn't always the case, however. About 20 years ago, their joe was complete crap.

And I tend to agree with you: this 'peaceful transfer of power' stuff ain't working the way it used to. It's only a matter of time before the left will not want to let go of power despite what the Founding Fathers wrote down in The Constitution. Just look at how much effort the libs are putting into fouling Trump's ascention into the White House. I see impeachment talk coming straight away.

Of course, it was like this for Dubya, too. But this time it's worse.

I don't think these boycott things ever work. People want what they want and are too lazy and disinterested to keep a list of "don't buys" to check every time they go shopping. There are a few entities I currently boycott, but it's only a few.

Fredd said...

Nope, boycotts don't usually work. Ever so true. But sometimes they do. Never say never, Kid. I just wish PHOT would pick up, I am tired of seeing a red number on my screen next to this ticker. I think I will likely keep this until it goes to zero, or turns around.

Kid said...

GWPH is the pure maryjane play.

Fredd said...

Kid: seems that I recall that's the same thing you said about PHOT.

That LL Bean thing really rankled me, too...this all does.
I'm thinking people are waking up? I HOPE SO!
We're (Conservatives) just WRONG WRONG WRONG, and they're RIGHT; the new American Gospel.
Let's hope Trump can change this truly stupid impression pushed by the media somehow...?

Kid said...

Fredd, PHOT and the other pennies were lottery tickets and bad timing.

GWPH is taken seriously by the Street. Take a look at the chart. I'd only buy it if it was looking really weak, like in a market crash. 2 more years before anyone gets to vote on reefer again.

Fredd said...

Kid: I got no feeling either way about pot stocks. I'll sit on the sidelines.

It's My Opinion said...

Many of Trump's detractors are saying "Trump is not my President"; including members of Congress sitting out the Inauguration.. If he isn't your president then why don’t you leave the country and renounce your citizenship.?

You petulant people can keep up that mantra if you'd like but it won't change the fact that he is The President. Every president-elect is entitled to a peaceful transfer of power; including Trump. It is something all Americans should celebrate.....even if your choice lost. Any obstruction or obfuscation or threat to disrupt is UnAmerican.

Fredd said...

IMO: that's the way I see it, too. Like it or lump it, Trump's here to stay, and he's calling the shots.

Shut up and get over it.
